Okay, I'm considering getting highlights the next time I get my hair trimmed and re-layered (sometime before Thanksgiving, hopefully).
I haven't totally settled on it, but I am seriously considering it. Because I no longer like my hair.
I will not, however, dye it. Because that would not be cool.

Only problem, I do not know of any good salons around here. Since I have no car or license, it has to be someplace within walking distance or someplace I can get a ride to. Ugh.

You could have them dye it back to your natural colour if you didn't want to keep it up.

They really want you think that it's for redheads, but Anne wasn't really blonde anymore, and she still had crazy-ass blonde highlights from it. I think maybe if you used it, it would make your hair redder? Because you still have the red-brown thing going on, so I think it would bring out the red.

Maybe Radiant Red would not be the way to go anymore, but Brilliant Brunette might be. My hair has been changing more to a light brown (almost dirty-blonde depending on the lighting). Idk. I wish this weren't so complicated. Lol.

I say do whatever the hell you want with it, and if you hate it, you can grow it out or dye it back or whatnot. It's just hair. It's not a permanent change. But red hair would look fierce, imo.

I honestly miss my red hair desperately! I loved it when it was red. I vowed I would never dye it when it was red.

And now it's just boring.

I'd like to say, I dyed my hair recently to a reddish colour that's a bit lighter than my natural colour and what it really did was kind of throw in red with my brown so it's kind of inter-mixed (like Maria was saying about Annie). So my hair still looks brown but more like a lighter more reddish shade. It changes depending on the lighting of the room I'm in.
My roots are starting to come in now but they really aren't super noticeable just because of the colour I went with.
Also, even if you only go with highlights, if you go with something very different from your natural colour you will still eventually have to dye it again or cut it because you will still have the highlighted hair/non-highlighted hair contrast. Soo if you want to avoid that I'd suggest going with something similar. But whatever floats your boat, really. Personally I'm really happy with how my hair came out so even if I do have to dye it again to fix it I still think it's worth it just because of how much I enjoyed it the way it is now.
